Important Notice Regarding Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Protection
New Beginnings High School is committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of the personal identifiable information (PII) of our students, staff, parents, and website visitors. We adhere to the guidelines set forth in Rule 6A-1.0955, which governs the handling of PII in educational institutions.
What is Personal Identifiable Information (PII)? PII refers to any information that can be used to identify an individual, including but not limited to names, addresses, social security numbers, email addresses, and student identification numbers.
Our Commitment to PII Protection:
1. Collection and Use: We collect PII from our stakeholders only for legitimate purposes directly related to our educational services, such as enrollment, communication, academic support, and school operations.
2. Consent: We obtain explicit consent from individuals before collecting their PII, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
3. Security Measures: We maintain appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect PII from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
4. Third-Party Disclosure: We may share PII with trusted third parties (e.g., service providers, educational partners) who adhere to strict privacy and security standards, solely for purposes related to our educational services.
5. Record-Keeping: We maintain comprehensive records of our PII handling practices and regularly review and update our security measures to ensure compliance with Rule 6A-1.0955.
6. Access and Modification: Individuals have the right to access, modify, or request the deletion of their PII, as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the Website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Website, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Website.
We use the information we receive from Google Analytics only to improve the Website. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to your browser on the date of your visit, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine information collected through Google Analytics with personally identifiable information.
Google Analytics may place a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user. This cookie cannot be used by anyone other than Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
