Admission Procedures

Any student who is between the ages of 15 and 24 is eligible to attend New Beginnings High School. We offer grades 6-12.

Student Interest Forms may be submitted online at newbhs.net, or in our Central office located at:

During office hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Once the application has been received one of our Admissions Coordinators will contact you to schedule an orientation.


Admission Guidelines

New Beginnings High School conducts open enrollment throughout the school year. There currently is no deadline to apply.

Applications will be available to any interested students between the ages of 15 and 24.

A city bus pass is available to all students as a courtesy to help with transportation. Also, there are courtesy school buses that run a route-specific to each campus. It is strongly suggested all students take advantage of the courtesy bus pass.

New Beginnings High School may be able to assist students with children under the age of 5 with daycare. Please contact our office at 863-298-5666 for further information.

New Beginnings High School offers a flexible schedule consisting of an AM session with the hours of 8 am to 1 pm and a PM session with the hours of 12 pm to 5 pm.

New Beginnings High School encourages a cooperative learning environment and a strong behavioral code will be enforced at the campuses.

New Beginnings High School is a place where struggling students can realize their potential and achieve academic excellence while earning a State Recognized High School diploma. We encourage, motivate and help you as you create academic benchmarks for success!

Proof of Residence (MUST have TWO.) *

  • Current apartment rent receipt or home lease agreement, mortgage document, or property tax record

  • Current utility bill (electric, gas, water), cable, or home phone bill

  • Current Florida driver’s license, automobile registration, automobile insurance

  • Current voter registration document, State of Florida Identification card

  • Proof of current government benefits (disability, Medicare, food

    stamps, Department of Children and Families (DCF) correspondence)

*Each proof must include the name and current address. Post office boxes, private mailbox addresses or commercial establishment addresses are not sufficient.

IF YOU ARE NOT A POLK COUNTY RESIDENT PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE:

  • Birth Certificate or Passport

  • Photo ID

  • Physical

  • Shot Records (Florida Blue Card)
